A workaround for a GPT partition that does not boot incorrectly when CentOS Linux occurs

PS: Server model Dell R720, this machine was previously installed with a GPT partition on the win 2008r2, which makes CentOS unreadable (but CentOS 6.x supports GPT by default), and the process is as follows:


Problem: When the graphical interface is installed to a partition

Your boot partition is on a disk using the GPT partitioning Scheme and this machines cannot boot using GPT.


Process steps:

1 kinds

Parted-s/DEV/SDA Mklabel Msdos

2 kinds

Ctrl+alt+f2 #进入字符界面parted/dev/sda Mklabel gptquitctrl+alt+f6 #进入图形界面

Add:

MBR, master boot record: MBR capacity is 2tb:2^32 * =2,199,023,255,552 Bytes, i.e. 2TB

GPT, globally unique identity disk partition table (GUID Partition table): GPT capacity 18EB (1EB = 1024TB)
