A little tool was developed with gildor and fpy a while ago. The project name is droidguard. as its name implies, it protects mobile phones, but it is not a flow of firewall attacks.
According to our survey, the proportion of mobile phone loss cases in the following scenarios is still quite large:
- In the classroom, class, study, and sleep, the mobile phone is placed on the desktop or in a package
- When a person in a dormitory or home is not on his cell phone (burglary)
- During exercise, the mobile phone (placed in the bag) is placed aside by others.
- ...
To cope with these situations, droidguard uses the advantage of the new mobile phone to detect whether the mobile phone is stolen by perceiving the surrounding environment. Currently, the following detection methods are supported:
- Vibration (acceleration-three-axis acceleration sensor)
- Mobile phone posture (Direction-Electronic Compass, etc)
- Surrounding WiFi
- GPS Positioning
These methods have their own advantages. The combined use can well protect mobile phones. Currently, the first three functions have been tested and have reached the practical level (you can use them first ~), The last item is still being tested. In addition, some details are being modified for the entire project, and the first release will be launched soon.
This project uses Google code to open source with Apache license at http://code.google.com/p/droidguard /. This is also the svn used by the team. If you want to try it out, you can download the source code for compilation using SVN ~
