[Android] R. layout. Main cannot be found

This error was reported when eclipse compiled the first Android program:

Setcontentview (R. layout. Main); error.
Main cannot be found.
Cause and solution:

If you fix imports before R. Java has been generated for your project (before building it the first time) it will add the line:

import android.R;

Which will override the local R. Java that you are trying to reference.

Deleting that line resolved the Errors for me.

Just delete import Android. R.
When there is an import Android. R, find it from the Resource class of Android. Note that if you have this, you cannot find the control ID you have defined.
