Centos 6 Minimal Installation MySQL5

1. Install: #yum-y Install Mysql-server

2. Modify the configuration: #vi/etc/my.cnf

Temporarily modify the encoding (add below password): Default-character-set = UTF8



# chkconfig mysqld on← set up MySQL service with system boot self-boot
# chkconfig–list mysqld← confirm MySQL self-booting mysqld 0:off 1:off 2:on 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off← If 2–5 is on the status OK

#service mysqld Start (#/etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld start also available)

Mysql-uroot-p
Select User,host,password from Mysql.user
Update Mysql.user set Password=password ('123456') where user= ' root ';
Select User,host,password from Mysql.user;
Exit

service MySQL restart;
