1. Prepare the Yum source.

[Email protected] ~]# wget http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
[Email protected] ~]# yum-y install rpmfusion-free-release-6-1.noarch.rpm
[Email protected] ~]# yum-y install epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
2. Install the MPlayer.
[email protected] ~]# Yum List | grep mplayer
mplayer.x86_64 1.0-0.140.20120205svn.el6.1 @rpmfusion-free-updates
mplayer-common.x86_64 1.0-0.140.20120205svn.el6.1 @rpmfusion-free-updates

[Email protected] ~]# yum-y install MPlayer
3. Install the video decoder.
First to the MPlayer official website to download the decoder, I was under the all-20110131.tar.bz2
[Email protected] ~]# TAR-JXVF all-20110131.tar.bz2
* The default decoder installation directory is/usr/local/lib/codecs/, no new:
[Email protected] ~]# mkdir/usr/local/lib/codecs/
[Email protected] ~]# MV all-20110131/*/usr/local/lib/codecs/
4. Install the MPlayer graphical interface.
[Email protected] ~]# yum-y install Mplayer-gui
Now you're done, just go and experience your video player!
