CentOS boot stops at the boot progress bar certmonger Solution

The newly installed CentOS6.4 is stuck in the progress bar when it is started for the first time. At first, it was thought that the response was slow and it would take some time. It may take about five minutes to complete. It is estimated that the problem has occurred.

After restarting, Press Esc or F5 to check the system startup process and where it is stuck. What I got stuck after certmonger started OK:

Cause Analysis: caused by the X11 graphical interface service, the graphic interface cannot be accessed after the instance is started.

Solution:

  1. Modify the configuration file/etc/X11/

Use Ctrl + Alt + F2 to enter the CLI operation interface and log on as the root user. Run the following command:

Mv/etc/X11/xorg. conf/etc/X11/old_xorg.conf

If you cannot enter the command line interface, you can enter single mode when starting the system, and then modify it.

  1. Modify the startup level (I used this method because the graphical interface is useless to me, but the system installation specification must be installed)

Vim/etc/inittab

# Default runlevel. The runlevels used are:

#0-halt (Do NOT set initdefault to this)

#1-Single user mode

#2-Multiuser, without NFS (The same as 3, if you do not have networking)

#3-Full multiuser mode

#4-unused

#5-X11

#6-reboot (Do NOT set initdefault to this)

#

Id: 5: initdefault: # Change The Bottom Line 5 to 3. The command line operation interface is displayed by default.
