I wanted to try the entire LFS. The result was that the LFS system was suspended at the last moment. The rest of the Installation notes are not much written. First, write about how the system is mounted.
Before LFS, I was wondering what to do if I had crashed my host machine.
However, when I installed grub on the LFS system, what LFS said was not clear, and what I did was also confusing. It seems that grub on the host machine is damaged and overwritten. As a result, the LFS system is not properly installed. After the restart, the LFS will not be able to enter. The host system will not be able to enter the system. There is no option for the host to enter the system ....
So I started to find a solution. I thought it would be nice to restore the host even if the LFS is down. As a result, I clicked the wrong one and double-clicked it. the vmdk file immediately prompts a Windows install installation prompt. I don't know what's going on. After a while, I need to insert the disc. I clicked cancel and then started the VM. I found that the prompt "the kernel device \. \ Global \ vmx86 cannot be opened during VMware installation: the specified file cannot be found ".
After searching for the Internet for a long time, I don't know how VMware got down.
This is good, LFS is not done, centos host machine is down, along with VMware is also down.
As a result, please download the VMware installation file from the Network Disk and double-click it to select repair. After half a day, VMWare will be ready (just use the installation file to fix it, and no online solution will work ).
Then, mount the DVD/cdrom to the centos ISO image in the VM settings. I want to enter the rescue mode.
When VMware is powered on, it's useless to click the left mouse button (F2 is useless if the cursor does not enter), press F2, enter BIOS settings, find the boot option, and move the cursor to the CD/DVD, press + to move the startup item to the first one. F10 save and exit.
Restart. Go to the centos installation page and select rescue. The selected language is English. Skip network settings. Select continue first, select OK, and then start shell.
Enter the command chroot/mnt/sysimag to enter the chroot environment.
In this case, the file can be operated normally. The following describes how to fix GRUB boot.
The process is as follows.
Enter grub and press Enter.
Run the following commands in sequence:
Root (hd0, 0)
Setup (hd0)
Quit # exit grub
Do not restart.
Because centos6.4 has an annoying SELinux check. If I don't close it, it will hurt you.
VI/etc/sysconfig/SELinux
Find SELinux = enforcing and change it to SELinux = Disable.
Now exit to exit chroot.
Then stop halt-P.
After that, reboot the instance and click + F2 when the VM is powered on. Go to BIOS settings and move the CD/DVD startup item to the third position with the "-" key. F10 save and quit. restart the system.
Now centos is starting. After a while, there will be some strange prompts, no matter what it is, wait for a while, the system will automatically restart once, and then it will be normal.
Finally. Saved successfully. Later, let's see what went wrong with LFS. That's one step worse.
By the way, there are two references.
