Centos host name modification (hostname)
You need to modify either of them:/etc/sysconfig/network and/etc/hosts. modifying only one of them will cause system startup exceptions. Switch to the root user first.
Open the file in any of your favorite editors with a line in itHostname = localhost. localdomain(If it is the default), modifyLocalhost. localdomainYour host name.
Open this file with a line127.0.0.1 localhost. localdomain localhost. Where127.0.0.1Is the local loop address,Localhost. localdomainIt is the host name, that is, the one you want to modify.LocalhostIs the alias of the Host Name (alias), which appears at the konsole prompt. Modify the second item to your host name. The third item is optional.
After the above two files are modified, they cannot take effect immediately. You can useHostname your-hostnameModify the host name temporarily. The host name will be restored after the system is restarted. However, the modification of the above two files is permanent, and the new host name will be obtained after the system is restarted.
Finally, check the host name after restart.Uname-n.
