Linux maps each physical device to a file that is placed in the/dev file (the directory in Linux is also a file), and the file that the CD-ROM maps to is a file named CDROM. The Mount command is the basic command to mount the optical drive, which can then be followed by parameters. Before mounting the optical drive, choose the mount point first, here I mount the file to the/media/centos, CentOS is the new file. The entire process is described in detail as follows:

[[email protected]/]# Mkdir/media/centos----To create a CentOS directory under Medis

[Email protected]/]# mount-t Auto/dev/cdrom/media/centos--Mount CentOS

Mount:block Device/dev/cdrom is write-protected, mounting read-only--Mount succeeded

[Email protected]/]# ls-l/media/centos--View CentOS content
