CentOS x86_64 Yum does not update 32bit package solution

CentOS 64-bit version. By default, the 32-bit software package is upgraded and installed. As a result, some software uses a 32-bit software package in the 64-bit (x86_x64) Environment, resulting in an error during compilation, how can we prevent the system from updating the 32-bit software package when executing the upgrade command?


1. Delete the installed 32-bit package
Yum remove \ *. I \? 86

Run the preceding command in SSH to delete all installed 32-bit packages. This command does not affect system usage.


Ii. Modify yum configuration file Parameters
1. Modify the file
Vim/etc/yum. conf

2. Add the following parameters to [main ]:
Exclude = *. I? 86

, Add and save the file.


Iii. Update
Yum-y update
