Convmv file encoding and conversion in CentOS

Source: Internet
Author: User

Files are created in WIndows. For Windows, the Chinese encoding of file names is GBK by default, and for Linux, the default file name encoding is UTF8. Due to inconsistent encoding, the file name is garbled, to solve this problem, you need to transcode the file name.

Run the following command to install the SDK:

Yum install convmv

Convmv usage:

Convmv-f Source Code-t new encoding [Option] File Name

Example: convmv-f UTF-8-t GBK-r./-- notest (./is the current directory of the file to be encoded)

Common parameters:

-R recursive processing of subfolders

-By default, notest does not perform real operations on files.

-List: displays all supported codes.

-Unescap can be used as an escape, for example, % 20 is converted into a space.
