Differences between the two installation modes of PHP

Modular installation: first, install php4ts. dll is moved to or copied to the windows/system (Windows9x/Me) or winnt/system32 (WindowsNT/2000/XP) directory to overwrite the existing files. then, modify the Apache configuration file httpd. conf :( suppose c:/php/is your PHP Installation Path) LoadModul modular installation:

LoadModule php4_module c:/php/sapi/php4apache. dll
AddModule mod_php4.c
AddType application/x-httpd-php. php

For CGI installation:
If CGI mode is used, modify the settings of php. ini: cgi. force_redirect = 1 to enhance apache Security. then, insert the following content in httpd. conf:

ScriptAlias/php/"c:/php /"
AddType application/x-httpd-php. php
Action application/x-httpd-php "/php/php.exe"
