Disable line feed in Android EditText

Source: Internet

In the logon box, line breaks are often prohibited in the input box. There are two methods:

The first is to listen to the setoneditexceptionlistener method of EditText, and then disable the enter key. A bad thing about this method is that the enter key is still displayed on the virtual keyboard:

/*** Set listener */private void setListener () {userNameEdit. setoneditexceptionlistener (new oneditexceptionlistener () {@ Overridepublic boolean oneditexception (TextView v, int actionId, KeyEvent event) {return (event. getKeyCode () = KeyEvent. KEYCODE_ENTER );}});}

The second method is to directly disable the enter key on the virtual keyboard by configuring android: singleLine = "true" in the xml file of EditText.

The second method is better.
