FTP Server Setup under CentOS

• Installation

Yum Install VSFTPD

start / restart/ shutdown

Service vsftpd Start/restart/stop

Boot default startup

Chkconfig vsftpd on

• Configuration

configuration file location:/etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf

Configure vsftpd.conf

Anonymous_enable=no # prohibit anonymous

Xferlog_enable=yes # Open log Record

Xferlog_file=/var/log/vsftpd.log # Log storage location
Xferlog_std_format=yes # Standard log Format

idle_session_timeout=600 # Idle Connection Timeout
data_connection_timeout=120

Chroot_local_user=yes # restricts users from accessing other directories under their directory

• Add FTP Local User

Add a directory to /var/www of the Test User

/usr/sbin/adduser-d/var/www-g ftp-s/sbin/nologin test

AdduserAddTestusers, their own folder location is/var/www, belonging to the user groupFTP, you cannot log on to the system (-s/sbin/nologin)
