General troubleshooting for CentOS Yum errors

Centos-yum Update Issue -103

when installing the software on CentOS. Prompt error message:

Error:cannot Retrieve repository metadata (Repomd.xml) for repository:base. Verify its path and try again

[email protected] ~]# nslookup mirrorlist.centos.org

; ; connection timed out; no servers couldbe reached

to find the problem here, my domain name can not be resolved, yum configuration file points to the domain name can not be identified. Reset under DNS pointing.
