According to foreign media reports, the market research agency NPD reported on Tuesday that Google's Android is currently more iPhone than Apple's
More popular operating systems. This makes Android second only to RIM's Blackberry, ranking second in the mobile operating system.
Specifically, NPD found that rim had 36% of the market share this quarter, Android was 28%, and the third iPhone operating system was only 17%. The increase in Android shares is largely due to the strong support of operators, such as Verizon's buy one get one activity. Verizon's move helped it win 30% of the smartphone market, slightly behind at&t's 32%, but above T-Mobile's 17% and Sprint's 15%.
Recently, we have selected several HTC smartphones running the andriod operating system. The software is as attractive as the iPhone, but more powerful than blackberry. We believe that android will dominate the mobile software market, just as Microsoft's Windows system leads PCs. Obviously, Apple is doing well, but it will still be the industry's "Starbucks"-because of its expensive product and service plans.
