The VM installs centos no valid devices were found on... fault symptom: "An error occurred-no valid devices were found on which to cereate new file systems occurs when the Virtual Machine VMware Workstation is used to install linux. please chechk your hardware for the cauese of this problem " Fault Cause: we use a virtual machine, the default installation, the hard disk is SCSI, which is the cause of the above prompt. Troubleshooting: 1. During installation, we only need to select IDE instead of SCSI here. 2. If the virtual machine has been configured, You can edit the virtual machine settings, select the hard disk, remove the SCSI hard disk, and add the IDE hard disk. The specific operation is as follows: Edit Virtual Machine Settings (when the virtual machine is disabled, the attribute is set to power off) ------ click ADD button ------- select Hard Disk --- click Next ----- default, create a new Virtual Disk ----- but when selecting the Virtual Machine disk type, we choose not the default SCSI (default) but the IDE. Then the problem is solved.
