Centos 5 is recommended:

Download centos/5.5 CentOS-5.5-i386 (or x86_64)-netinstall. ISO, centos5.5 is installed on a dial. The installation path is set to HTTP, server centos.ustc.edu.cn, And the directory is centos/5.5/OS/i386 or centos/5.5/OS/x86_64.

After installation, follow the steps below to modify the CenOS-Base.repo, you can easily install the software with yum.

 

 
CD/etc/yum. Repos. DMV CentOS-Base.repo CentOS-Base.repo.savewget http://centos.ustc.edu.cn/CentOS-Base.repo.5mv CentOS-Base.repo.5 CentOS-Base.repo
 

How to install centos 4:

Download centos-4. *. ISO can be upgraded with Yum update after installation, suitable for server use

After installation, follow the steps below to modify the CenOS-Base.repo, you can easily install the software with yum.

 

 
CD/etc/yum. Repos. DMV CentOS-Base.repo CentOS-Base.repo.savewget http://centos.ustc.edu.cn/CentOS-Base.repo
 

After modifying the above files, if you need to install GCC, run Yum install GCC directly.
