Gnome is used by default in Ubuntu, but different backgrounds in different regions cannot be implemented in gnome. Since the 3D desktop function is implemented in compizcomfig, we can use other third-party software to implement the functions of different backgrounds in different work zones. This software is screenlets.

Step 1: Install screenlets.

Open the new software package manager, search for screenlets, and mark the installation. If you have installed software, I will not send a picture.

Step 2: Select "Application-> attachment-> screenlets" to open screenlets. Find slideshow in the icon area on the right, click Select, and then click Start/ADD and start at login. A rectangular shadow area appears in the upper-left corner of the screen, which is slideshow.

Step 3: Set slideshow.

You can click the gear in the upper right corner of slideshow or right-click slideshow and select "properties" to enter the attribute Setting dialog box.

Click Options-> screenlet, set the X coordinate to 0, and set the Y coordinate to 0. Cancel and hold the X coordinate to the upper layer, and select keep in the lower layer keep below.

Update interval is the refresh time, in seconds. It is recommended to set it to 3600, so that the desktop is updated once a day.

Image folder is the image folder. By default, it is the image folder of the system. We recommend that you create another folder and select images that match the screen resolution.

Bounding X and bounding Y are used to set the image display size based on the screen resolution. For example, if my screen resolution is 1280*800, I set it to 1280,800 respectively.

Set frame width and shadow width to 0.

Step 4: set three workspace backgrounds in sequence, but remember to keep the original background of one workspace (the backgrounds of the other three workspaces are different, this workspace does not need to be modified ).

Cancel Method: Enable screenlets, select slideshow, and cancel the check mark before "Start/Add" and "start at login.

In this way, the desktop will be completely overwritten by images. Next we will teach you how to display the files on the desktop.

1. Install cairo-dock. I believe many people have already installed it. If you haven't installed it, search for it in the new version!

2. Open cairo-dock, open the master folder, drag the Desktop Folder into cairo-dock, confirm that it has been added to cairo-dock, and then drag it from cairo-dock to the desktop.

3. After you finish the previous step, you will see the effect. If you are not satisfied, continue setting. Right-click "configure this applet", click the desktop gadgets tab, expand position, set the length and width to the maximum value of 640*640, and select none for the decoration topic. This is very similar to the desktop icon.

4. Right-click the image, select the reserved space for visibility, and lock the position to prevent the image displayed in slideshow from being blocked.
