Problems with hard disk installation of centos6.0:
1. GRUB boot installation in centos;
2. Download The CentOS-6.0-i386-bin-DVD version of the ISO image file size 4.38 GB, cannot be saved to the format of FAT32 (maximum single file must be less than 4 GB) disk partition;
3. GRUB boot installation of centos 6.0 cannot recognize NTFS format (in menu. in lst, enter the relevant GRUB boot Code );
4. During installation, the IMGs/install. IMG file is required (put/isolinux/initrd. IMG and/isolinux/vmlinz in the root directory of the C (NTFs) disk partition ).
Try the solution:
1. To install Ubuntu, you can directly put the ISO file into the NTFS disk and modify it according to the Ubuntu installation class capacity. Installation failure cannot find the installation image;
2. Extract the file CentOS-6.0-i386-bin-DVD.iso file to the D (FAT32) disk partition and enter the installation graphical interface, by selecting IMGs/install. the disk location of the IMG (D Drive DEV/sda6). Next Step ---- the failure prompt is similar to "the installation image is missing".
3. There is an ext4 disk partition in the original Ubuntu System (Ubuntu is damaged when centos is installed ), install U disk cdlinux through win7, start cdlinux to enter the ext4 disk partition, copy the CentOS-6.0-i386-bin-DVD.iso In the NTFS partition to ext4 and decompress the IMGs folder; the prompt for installing root (hd0, 0) is unknown when centosos is started. Check the Installation File in win7 (files in the ext4 disk cannot be edited, here it refers to the two installation files copied to drive c) re-import/isolinux/initrd. install IMG and/isolinux/vmlinz on drive C ---- select install as prompted... restart centos6.0 system- ----- Success!
