Next is the case of installing Tomcat, here is my centos6.5 server version,
First to download the Tomcat package, on the Tomcat website,
It is then placed under a folder shared by the server.
Then CP/USR/SHARE/TOMCAT.TAR.GZ/USR (my shared folder is/usr/shair)
And then Next
#tar-ZXVF apache-tomcat-6.0.10.tar.gz; Extract
3) Copy apache-tomcat-6.0.10 to/usr/local/and rename to Tomcat
[[email protected] bin] #cp-R Apache-tomcat-6.0.10/usr/local/tomcat;
4) Start Tomcat
[[email protected] Bin]#/usr/local/tomcat/bin/startup.sh
using catalina_base: /usr/local/tomcat
using CATALINA_ home: /usr/local/tomcat
Using Catalina_tmpdir:/usr/local/tomcat/ TEMP
Using jre_home: /USR/LOCAL/JDK /JDK1.6.0_17
Using classpath: /usr/local/ TOMCAT/BIN/BOOTSTRAP.JAR
[[email protected] bin]#
To this tomcat has been installed complete
