According to a comment published in business weekly on August 15, May 26, Beijing time, chrome still has many problems to solve as a tablet operating system, google should focus on the rapid development of Android.
The Google I/O developer conference held last week by Google has overwhelmed the technology industry. Google was not disappointed to support Apple, whether it was launching a fierce attack, a new online video technology, or a new service to confront Amazon's cloud computing S3 service.

Aside from future product plans, this developer conference focuses on Google's Android operating system and the mobile ecosystem built around this platform. In Google TV's case, almost 1/4 of the developer conference was about Android. Google CEO Schmidt, vice president of engineering Vic gundotra and Android technology development director Andy Rubin all around Android delivered a moving speech. Google's Chrome operating system seems to give people a sense of post-event addition.

Google indeed held a press conference for the chrome system. The co-founder of the company, page and Blin, highlighted the chrome system at the press conference. However, the promotion of the software was limited to this. This is mainly because Chrome's plan is still very long and there are still many uncertainties in its development prospects, while Android has achieved initial success.

Let's take a look at Google's recent statistics on the Android system:

1. Android-based mobile phone products have already activated 0.1 million mobile phones each day.

2. 21 OEMs from 48 countries around the world have launched 60 Android-based products, which are provided by 59 carriers.

3. There are already 50 thousand apps in the Android Market Place store.

4. In the first quarter, Android phones ranked second in the U.S. sales rankings, second only to RIM Blackberry phones.

At the Google I/O developer conference, Rubin said: "I am very satisfied with the current development of Android, and this achievement is somewhat unexpected ." Google TV is a good example. Google TV uses the Android system, Intel processor, and a browser. Industry insiders believe that the biggest feature of Android is its strong applicability. Android can be seen everywhere from e-readers to set-top boxes, and even from cars to refrigerators. This operating system is widely used. Google provides the Android system for free, so that all hardware vendors can improve the Android system as much as possible.

Therefore, Google should make Android a huge platform like Apple's iPhone OS, so that all resources can be prioritized.

Rubin said at the developer conference last week: "android has been launched and developed for four years, and Chrome OS has not yet been released, therefore, it is inappropriate to compare android with chrome." According to industry insiders, Google may adopt a two-pronged Development Strategy for Android and chrome when Chrome is released. Gundotra has admitted frankly that the company's strategy may be adjusted in this direction. Moreover, Google may find a way to aggregate these two technologies.

This strategy is indeed appropriate when the touch screen is the foundation and the rise of tablet computers. According to a description at the Google I/O conference by Google's co-founder, as long as the Android system and Chrome browser are available, all network applications can be obtained through the online App Store. However, Rubin and gundotra did not provide a positive response to Google's intention to develop Android-based tablets.

There may be another reason for the strategic planning to put Chrome OS after android. Chrome OS was initially announced as a netbook platform. If the market is switched to tablets, Google must make major adjustments to allow Chrome OS to support finger operations.

According to informed sources, Google has acquired BumpTop, a Canadian User Interface innovation vendor, to develop a special user interface for Google gpad on Android, google may provide it as a reference design to hardware vendors. This may be something Android lacks when competing with apple and iPad for the tablet market.

Industry insiders are worried that Chrome OS may have a fatal defect. Because it is based on Google's recognition system, it should support all Google's network applications. However, Google's strength in the social network market is weak, so Chrome OS may be lacking in social networking and sensing capabilities.

In contrast, jolicloud OS fully supports social networks and uses Facebook connect to connect various components in users' social circles. That is what the modern cloud client operating system looks like.
