#insmod device drive path such as Insmod/fpga.ko

Create a/proc/dev/fpga8k device node #mknod/dev/fpga8k C 248 0, where c is the character device; 248 main device number; 0 slave device number

The main device number---used to differentiate between different hardware devices, and from the device number to differentiate the same hardware device.

#cat/proc/devices---Query the main device number
