Linux Study Notes 1, linux Study Notes
I started to learn about the Linux operating system today. I will take notes here for you to easily recall.
I learned how to install the vmwarevm when I was learning the Linux operating system.
① Download and install the vmwarevm.
② Download the Liunx version. The CentOS6.3 version I use here.
③ Start the vmwarevm and put the CentOS6.3 image file downloaded in step 2 in the VM settings.
④ Step by step.
PS: the minimum requirement for CentOS is 628 MB when the memory capacity is selected. It must be lower than this number.
| Hardware |
Device File Name |
| IDE Hard Drive |
/Dev/hd [a-d] |
| SCSI/SATA/USB hardware |
/Dev/sd [a-p] |
| Optical Drive |
/Dev/cdrom or/dev/sro |
| Floppy Disk |
/Dev/fd [0-1] |
| Printer (25-pin) |
/Dev/lp [0-2] |
| Printer (USB) |
/Dev/usb/lp [0-15] |
"/" Is the root directory.
"Dev" is a level-1 subdirectory where all files are hardware files
/Root/install. log stores the software packages installed in the system and their version information.
/Root/install. log. syslog stores the event records left during the installation process.
/Root/anaconde-ks.cfg records the option information set during installation in the format of the kickstart profile.
I did not directly operate on a virtual machine when I was learning the Linux operating system. I am using another software. (SecureCRT)
Before using SecureCRT, you must configure the IP address in the virtual machine.
① Select virtual machine settings to change the network adapter to Host-only ). In this case, vmnet1.
② After knowing the IP address, you can use ifconfig eth0 in VMware to configure it. Because my ip address is 192.168.30.1, it must be configured in a network segment. 192.168.30.2 configured here
③ After the configuration is complete, you can use ifconfig to view the relevant information. Then, you can use the local cmd to ping the IP address you Just configured. If the IP address can be pinged, the configuration is successful.
④ After ping, you can use SecureCRT to log on to Liunx. Enter the Linux user name and password to log on. Use ifconfig to test the function.
So far today.
