Linux Virtual Machine Virtual Box installation and CentOS installation tutorial, virtualcentos
Operating System and virtual machine selection
Commercial Version of redhat: red hat enterprise linux (RHEL) focuses on servers without desktop operations. Suitable for commercial use
Fedora: another branch of redhat, namely the Community edition, is free of charge. Suitable for students
CentOS: Community Enterprise Operating System, clone of RHEL, but not 100% compatible. It is widely used in major Internet companies in China and is suitable for commercial use and in-depth study.
SuSE: it is popular in foreign countries, but it is relatively small in China, and the system is stable and reliable. For commercial Ubuntu: The main desktop edition is the first choice for games and entertainment in Linux systems. It is suitable for games and entertainment.
Our final choice is CentOS, version 6.9.
Virtual Machine Selection
VMware: old-fashioned, full-featured, closed-source, paid, large installation files, and high resource usage
Virtual Box: easy to use, Main Function Support, open-source, free, small Installation File, light resource usage, good fluency
Virtual PC: Microsoft launches Windows 7, with fewer Community resources, more powerful hardware virtualization and performance.
