As I have always been interested in mobile phone management and recently become the boss driver, I decided to study and sort out the root-related technologies (not limited to root ). Root Principle

Root itself refers to the root account of the Linux system. This account has the supreme right of the entire system and can operate on all objects in the system, for Android mobile phone users, Root means that they have Root permissions. Generally, mobile phone manufacturers disable Root permissions for mobile phones for security reasons. The mobile phone system runs under the permissions of common users, users cannot operate files and data in the system. Therefore, the root retrieval method is implemented by using system vulnerabilities. Different mobile phone manufacturers may have different vulnerabilities, which may lead to different mobile phone root principles. However, no matter what principle is used to implement root, the su executable file must be copied to the/system partition of the Android system (for example:/system/xbin/suAnd use the chmod command to set the executable and setuid permissions. In order to allow users to control the use of root permissions and prevent unauthorized applications from calling it, there is usually an Android Application to manage su program behavior. The basic principle of root is to use system vulnerabilities to copy su and the corresponding Android management application to the/system partition.

ZergRush is currently the most widely used system vulnerability. This vulnerability applies to Android2.2-2.3.6 systems, and other vulnerabilities include Gingerbreak and psneuter.
