recently, ONOS Community and Linux Foundation jointly announced a strategic partnership, the two sides will jointly develop open source SDN/NFV solution.
The ONOS project works with the Linux Foundation to create disruptive SDN solutions that focus on open source platforms, white boxes, a range of network control and management applications, and the ability to quickly create and deploy innovative services for service providers to achieve SDN/NFV economic benefits. It also helps manufacturers and service providers to create new business models. As a collaborative project for Linux, ONOS will benefit from the foundation's expertise in managing open source projects, as well as community engagement, and enhancing the responsiveness of projects in key strategic areas of open source processes and practices.
