To compile the install git on CentOS

CentOS Yum Source has no git, can only compile their own installation, now record the contents of the compilation installation, left to their own memo.

Make sure that the dependent packages are installed

Yum Install Curl
Yum Install Curl-devel
Yum Install Zlib-devel
Yum Install Openssl-devel
Yum Install Perl
Yum Install Cpio
Yum Install Expat-devel
Yum Install Gettext-devel
Yum Install autoconf

Download Git package

wget https://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/git-2.0.1.tar.gz
Tar xzvf git-latest.tar.gz
CD git-2.0.1
Autoconf
./configure
Make && make install

Review the version of Git when the compilation is complete

Git--version

Output

git version 2.0.1 OK, success ~ ~
