Ubuntu ADSL dial-up Internet access
I have been connected to the Internet through Wireless wifi connected to ADSL at home. Recently, I have destroyed the NetGear wireless router, so I have to use wired cable for the time being.
In Ubuntu Linux, you can also directly use ADSL dial-up for Internet access.
1. Connect the device
There is nothing to say about it. Generally, it is the on-site service of China Unicom. The telephone line is connected to the ADSL port of the connected ADSL cat, and the computer is connected to any LAN port.
2. Edit the connection
Click the network connection icon in the tray area of the taskbar-> edit connection to open the "Network Connection" dialog box.
3. Create a DSL connection
Enter the user name and password allocated by China Unicom and click "save.
4. Dialing
Click the network connection icon in the tray area of the taskbar> DSL connection 2. Wait for a moment. If the dial is successful, the connection success message is displayed. Open your browser to access the Internet.
The above settings are successfully tested on Ubuntu 12.04.
