The Brasero disc burner is installed on every version of UBuntu. It is the default CD burner on Ubuntu. It is designed to be simple enough and has many unique features to allow users to quickly and easily create CDs.

Some features of Brasero are listed below:

  • Automatically filters hidden and corrupted files when creating data CD/DVD.
  • Supports multiple sessions at the same time to perform disk file integrity check
  • Allows you to instantly burn a video CD/DVD.
  • You can mirror the CD/DVD content to the hard disk.
  • Erasable CD/DVD

There are many other features. If you want to find a simple disk recorder on Ubuntu, check out the software before you perform any operations.

To start using Brasero to burn CD/DVD discs, make sure that your computer has a CD/DVD burner installed. If not, you obviously cannot download it. If your computer meets the requirements, insert the data disc you want to record into the CD/DVD, enter Dash, and search for Brasero.

When Brasero is enabled, select disk copy. This function copies the content of a CD and then writes it to another CD. If this is what you want, continue.

If Ubuntu can access your CD/DVD burner, Brasero will open and automatically recognize the content of the disc. Here, you can click Copy to create a copy from the source disc. If you want to create multiple copies, click the button to create multiple copies.

When the system prompts you to install the required software package, click Install.

After the installation is complete, Brasero starts copying the CD. If the final disc is copied, the system will prompt you to insert a blank writable CD/DVD disc for writing and copying. Insert it and wait for the content to be written to the CD.

When you complete the above operations, you can remove the disc and use the burned disc!
