We have just installed the Ubuntu system, or forgotten the root account password, can be reset in this way.

We can enter the command in the terminal sudo passwd, and then enter the current user's password

Open the terminal, enter sudo passwd a command, then the system will let you enter the current user password, and then enter a new password and confirm that the new password is the root of the new password. After successful modification, enter the command Su root, and then enter a new password to verify that the modification was successful.
