Since the system was upgraded to win7 a few days ago, the previously installed Linux virtual machines do not exist. Based on learning, this installation selects centos 6.3.
The installation steps are as follows:
You can enter the name as needed, select Linux as the type, and select Linux 2.6 as the version. I tried to install another version, such as ubuntu. The installation was not successful and I don't know what went wrong. After a lot of detours, I finally succeeded in selecting another Linux 2.6. Click Next. When you continue to "store on a physical hard disk", you can choose a fixed size or dynamic allocation.
Dynamic Allocation is selected here and the next step is continued. Create a hard disk in this step and name the virtual hard disk file. And select the storage location of the hard disk file.
After the hard disk is created, return to the virtual machine interface.
Adjust the virtual computer settings to open the settings page:
Click "Storage" on the left and the following page is displayed:
You can see from the figure that there is no CD-ROM. Click "no CD-Rom" and select the CD-Rom icon in the red box. The page for selecting a virtual CD-Rom is displayed. Select the appropriate one here.
Because my local win7 system is 32-bit, so choose CentOS-6.3-i386-bin-DVD1.iso
If your machine is a 64-bit system, you can choose this x86-64.
After the selection is complete, confirm that the disc is successfully loaded. The "no disk" position will display the specific disc name.
Click OK to return to the virtual computer interface.
Next, start and run. Click Start. The following page is displayed:
First, describe the meaning of the above options:
Install or upgrade an existing system
Install a new system or upgrade an existing operating system
Install system with basic video driver
You can select this option to install the computer graphics card that is not supported properly in Linux and cannot drive properly.
Rescue installed system
Is an operating system that runs Linux on a CD. It is used to fix problems.
Remory Test
This test must be performed in the production environment.
After selecting the first item, run to this interface:
Before installation, perform a hard disk test and select Skip. Generally, no major problems occur.
If the following interface appears next, it is basically done.
Next, let's stop talking about it. Next, let's proceed.
So far, the installation of centos 6.3 has come to an end. If you have any questions, please leave a message to me.
