View and set the system language in Linux

I. Introduction

Character Set errors are often encountered in Linux systems. This article summarizes the steps for setting and modifying the system language environment.

Ii. Procedure

Run the following command to view the currently used system language:

Echo $ LANG

Run the following command to view the Language Pack installed by the system:

Locale

Zh_CN indicates that the Chinese language has been installed. If there is no Chinese language, run the following command to install the Chinese Language Pack:

Yum groupinstall chinese-support

Temporarily change the language. You can enter the LANG = language name as follows:

LANG = "Zn_CN.UTF-8"

Modify the default system language (restart the system after modification)

Echo "LANG = \" zh_CN.UTF-8 \ ">/etc/sysconfig/i18n
