1. Open VMware Workstation, toolbars----New virtual machine



2. Pop-up dialog box, select "Typical", next.



3, select the last item, "Install the operating system later", you can also select the first or second, if you want to load the CentOS installation image. I chose this so that I can configure it once and then load the image. Next.



4, the client operating system select "Linux", version select CentOS 64-bit, next.



5, the virtual machine name, oneself casually up, I here is CentOS-02, want to guarantee has enough disk remaining space. After the selection, the next step.



6, the largest disk size, the default 20G can not change, if you need to install a large number of software packages, then set the big point, 40G enough, but I do not use so much; Select Save Virtual Disk as a single file next.



7, click "Custom Hardware", I want to remove the unused hardware device, delete the "printer", and set the virtual CPU, and memory.
It is recommended that the CPU at least to 1CPU1 core, because the author computer configuration slightly better, so gave 1CPU, dual-core;
Memory, recommended better than 1G, the group has a friend reaction, less than 1G, unable to enter the graphical interface, configuration will be some inconvenience.
Other configurations are not changed, click "Close", then click "Finish". The virtual machine is configured well.





8, this time the virtual machine is ready for 99%, then the other 1% is what, to, is the system image has not been loaded.



9, double-click the CD/DVD, this is to let you set the image, because my image is directly downloaded the good ISO file, here I do not need a virtual optical drive or a real optical drive.
On the right, select "Use ISO image file" to find your own good CentOS image file. Are you sure.





10, complete the configuration, click the green Right triangle symbol, start the virtual machine, now to the official launch of the first page. Needless to say, select the first item, OK.



11, System self-test, load.



12, this step needs to detect the installation media, choose skip Skip, otherwise detection is very slow.



13, here or in English, click Next.



14, Language choice, choose Simplified Chinese, should know the Chinese character bar, do not know to the primary school melted down. Click Next



15, the default U.S. English keyboard rules do not move, the next step.



17, there is no special requirements, choose the first "Basic storage Device", the next step.



18, because it is a new installation, ask you whether the entire disk to install the system, here Select "Yes", if not a new installation, and need to retain data, select "No". Next.



19, here set the hostname, I set to CENTOS02, because it is a virtual machine, the network is not configured, if there are special requirements, according to their own requirements to configure, click "Configure the Network".







20, whether or not configure the network, will go to this step, time zone settings, silent Shanghai, not change, the next step.



21, root password, is the root user password, virtual machine I do not have to set up the trouble, 123456 on the line, but will prompt you password is too simple, but I confirm the use, choose "Use anyway", the next step.



22, select partition, CentOS new version of the use of LVM to partition, I do not have to calculate the partition size, this mode can allow users to dynamically adjust the size of the partition later, so the new installation, I choose the first item "Use all space." If a user needs to save the original data, it cannot be selected. Next.



23. If I select "View and modify Partition" in the previous step, the following interface will appear. Allows you to manually adjust the partition.



24. After the partition is confirmed, the system will format the partition and select "format".



25, the partition is good, the request to write the partition information to disk, click "Write changes to Disk", the next step.



26, prompt boot partition write, do not change, next.



27, the requirements of the installation system to choose the installation mode, from the top to the next is: Desktop installation mode, minimize the desktop installation mode, minimize the installation mode, the basic server installation mode, and so on.
Here according to the needs of the people to choose, I do not need the desktop, so I chose to minimize the installation mode. Next. (optional "Now custom" at the bottom)

30, the installation is complete, reboot boot.
