VMware Workstation v9.0 installation centos 6.5 graphic tutorial

0 Preface

This article describes how to install centos6.5 on the Virtual Machine VMWare, and the installation is successful on your computer!

1. Preparations

1. VMware Workstation 9.0.0 installation package: VMware-workstation-9.0.0-812388.exe

2. centos 6.5 image file: CentOS-6.5-i386-bin-DVD1.iso

2 Virtual Machine Installation

Step 1:Double-click vmware-workstation-9.0.0-812388.exe to start Installation

 Step2: After clicking Next, a standard installation or custom installation will pop up. I chose Standard installation, click Next, select an installation directory, and click Next, the following installation progress prompt box is displayed.

After the installation progress bar is complete, a key is required, as shown in

Here, provide an available key: MF6UV-DHH90-DZE71-0H9N2-2CU7N, enter and click Enter, the following prompt box pops up

 

Click Finish. The following icon is displayed on the desktop, indicating that the installation of VMware Workstation is complete.

 

3. Create a virtual machine

Step 1:Double-click the VMware Workstation shortcut on the desktop. The following dialog box is displayed.

Select Yes and click OK. the main interface is displayed as follows:

Step 2:In the above main interface, click the create a new Virtual Machine icon to create a virtual machine. The pop-up box is shown as follows:

By default, click Next. the dialog box is displayed as follows:

Step 3:Select the image file to install, that is, select the second one, Click Browse to select the image file, and then click Next. the dialog box is displayed.

 

Enter the user name and password here (the password here is used for root/user), and click Next, as shown below

Enter the Virtual Machine name and installation directory, as shown in (custom), and click Next. the dialog box is as follows:

Select Server Load balancer virtual disk into multiple files and click Next, as shown in the following figure:

In this step, click Finish. The system will automatically install the following:

After the installation is complete, the main interface is displayed as follows:

Click centos-ly, enter the password in the pop-up box, and click Login. the main interface is displayed as follows:

Step 4:Network connection settings

Click VM --> Settings... And the dialog box is displayed as follows:

Select the network adapter on the left and click it.

On the right, select the first network connection, that is, the bridge mode, as shown in

Congratulations! The installation is complete!
