2.1. Vmware-workstation-full-8.0.2-591240.exe

3. Installation and configuration process

3.1. Install VMware to D:\vmare, and you will need to enter license during installation KEY:1C4JF-6UL07-7Z6G9-3TCQK-9AN45

3.2. After the installation, depending on whether the individual needs to be Chinese, there are related tutorials on the Internet, the default is English, no longer reset.

3.3, after the successful installation, start VMware, you will see the following interface.

3.4. Installing Win7 in VMware

3.4.1 Open the VMware menu and select New Virtual machine. Type configuration: Standard (recommended).

3.4.2 in the New Virtual Machine Wizard, select I install the operating system later, next, select Microsoft Windows, version Windows 7.

3.4.3 Name the virtual machine and set the location. The proposed location of the selection of unified, easy to follow the management of virtual operating system. The following defaults until the installation is complete.

3.4.4 Double-Hit the "CD/DVD", load the ISO image, install the Win7 operating system.

3.4.5 Select "Connect at Power on" and finally click "OK" to finish.

3.4.6 Click "Power on this virtual machine" to install Windows PE (Windows Preinstallation Environment) in the Select interface.

3.4.7 depending on the installation, some may require F2 to enter the BIOS, format the partition, and then perform a Win7 installation. Otherwise, after the end of the 3.4.6 directly into the virtual machine desktop, and then found on the desktop "Auto partition hard disk for 4 zones", start it, all the way down to completion.

3.5. Installing CentOS in VMware

3.5.1 the process of installing CentOS is similar to installing Win7, except when selecting the operating system type.

3.5.2 possible problems during installation: This host has virtualization support capabilities, but virtualization technology is disabled.

3.5.3 is also easier to solve. Simply turn on virtualization technology in the BIOS and set the Virtualization Technology option. Reboot the F2 (this shortcut will vary depending on the computer) into the BIOS and set the Inter (R) virtualization technology to enable.

3.5.4 after installing CentOS, the interface appears with language selection. Since there is no Chinese package installed, if you choose Chinese Simplified here, the following error will occur, resulting in subsequent configuration is not possible.

3.5.5 default English can be. Continue with the next configuration: Select Minimize installation, install location "Automation partition selected". Click on the option to confirm the exclamation mark.

3.5.6 during the installation process, set the root account password and wait for the installation to complete restarting CentOS.

3.6. Virtual Machine Networking

3.6.1 CentOS performs minimal installation and cannot surf the Internet because the default NIC is not activated.

3.6.2 CentOS can choose a NAT link (not detailed here), or bridge (bridging mode, where you choose bridging).

3.6.3 Modify the configuration file, enter the command vi/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ens33, and find the Onboot=no in the message after execution, change No to Yes, press ESC, and then: Wq Save the changes.

3.6.4 Restart the network card, execute the command service network restart, you can surf the Internet.

3.6.5 command IP addr Show to view network card assignments. Because the installation is minimized, Ifconfig cannot be used at this time, otherwise command not found appears.

3.6.6 Run the Yum install Net-tools installation ifconfig feature.

3.6.7 Run ping-c www.baidu.com, specify ping 10 times network.

3.7. Update or upgrade the minimum installed CentOS

3.7.1 execute the following commands sequentially

Yum-y Update && yum-y upgrade

Yum-y Install gcc++ gcc-c++

Yum-y Install wget

Yum-y Install Perl

Note: yum-y update upgrade all packages, change the software settings and system settings, the system version of the kernel upgrade, YUM-Y upgrade upgrade all packages, do not change the software settings and system settings, System version upgrade, the kernel does not change. Y means accept the change and will not prompt for the software update after default.

3.8 Setting the server host name

3.8.1 Enter the command echo $HOSTNAME to view the current host name.

3.8.2 Input Command Vi/etc/hostname replace the new hostname, after entering the same ESC key: Wq save exit.

3.8.3 Log off the current account, enter the logout command, and then re-enter the CentOS interface, enter the user name and password again echo $HOSTNAME you can see the modified host name.
