Install VMware Tools (install the VMware Tools Package to the root directory)
1. On the VM toolbar, click "VM" and select "Install VMware Tools". Wait until an optical drive icon appears on the Linux desktop and a vmwaretools window pops up:
2. Run the following command on the terminal:

[Root @ localhost ~] # Cp/Media/vmwaretools/VMwareTools-6.0.0-45731.tar.gz/root
/* Copy the package to the linux root directory */
[Root @ localhost ~] # Ls
/* View the package copied to the root directory */
[Root @ localhost ~] # Tar zxvf VMwareTools-6.0.0-45731.tar.gz
/* Run the tar commandSource codeRelease a software package */
[Root @ localhost ~] # Ls
/* View the name of the decompressed directory */
[Root @ localhost ~] # Cd vmware-tools-distrib
/* Enter the extract directory */
[Root @ localhost vmware-tools-distrib] # ls
/* View the file name in the directory */
[Root @ localhost vmware-tools-distrib] #./vmware-install.pl
/* Run the installation command */
[1] continue with the carriage return
[2] at this step, ask if you want to change the X-window settings. Select y to change the resolution.

After the installation is complete, restart the Virtual Machine and re-enter the system. Then, the VMware Tools installation is complete.
