Method
Search for symcjit. dll, and you will find both jre (Java Runtime Environment)
Rename the two files to symcjit _. dll, and then install the files. It can be completely normal.
Install the hardware (installed properly ):
Server: Dell PowerEdge 2600 dual Xeon 2.8 GB 1 GB memory
PC: P4 2.4 GB 512M memory
Note:
A few days ago, I downloaded Oracle 8.1.7 NTEE Release 1 (Enterprise Edition) in Win2000 two years ago. After running the Setup file, the task manager showed that the CPU usage was full, and after several seconds, I went down again, but nothing is running, and it is not displayed in the process.
If the contents cannot be found, we thought the jre had a problem. We installed version 1.1.8 and found that all the files in the bin directory in jrew were overwritten by version 1.1.8, (1.3.1 files are completely different ).
At this time, you can Install it. You can start the Universal Install, and you can copy files all the time, but there will be no changes during database creation.
Neither of the NET8 tools is available. In fact, the installation of Oracle still failed (alas, it has been installed several times, and every time it was re-installed with XP, then I went to Release the Enterprise version of Release 3, which is still the same. I checked it out here yesterday. Someone said it was symcjit. dll error, also said to want to change a bunch of things want to try, but don't bother to change so many things, just put 2000 first GHOST (more than three years have not used this thing, 5.1 it seems that 2000 is not very good, and the kernal32 file is always lost during restoration. It only needs to be restored twice), save the old installation, and then save the two symcjit. dll is renamed symcjit _. dll. old), and then drag it into WINISO to make it into the ISO package (if you want to do it, it will be engraved directly. If you make it into an ISO virtual optical drive, the file will not be affected, so that the installer will not modify the installation source file) after that, you can install it. Step by step, no problem. If you do not select a custom one, all of them are default (Enterprise Edition, of course, installed according to the specifications of the enterprise, huh, huh ).
It is also normal to create a database. NET8 and a few others are all up. After the database is installed, the memory will account for 390 MB (if NET8 is not up, it will be around MB, and SQL Server has been installed, A little more)
In short, there are no error messages. So I think it is good. I have installed it on two machines (one DELL 2600 server and one PC.
The reason for installing 8.1.7 is that Ora9 is too large. There are 0.18 million files after the three files (Release 1) are decompressed, after the installation, it actually occupies 3 GB (I used FAT32). It is really a big waste, and it is also nominal as 1.7 GB. 8.1.7 is named as 790 M, but it is installed as 1G. (This is the size of the last installation. It cannot be larger in the future !) In addition, as for learning and development, there is a better version to use, so I don't want to install such a large version.
Many people see problems during installation, so I would like to give you a reference on my method. I am not sure every friend can install it like this.
At the same time, because Ora8 Enterprise Edition can be installed, it is not tested on 9, but the Net Assistant cannot be configured if it is directly installed.
In addition, some friends may want to find the Oracle installer, which is the capacity of the CD, so it is very difficult to find out. I also registered the OTN two years ago and found that the Oracle website can be accessed.
If you want to subscribe to it, you can register it on OTN.Oracle.com. After logging on, you can select the Download button above to subscribe to almost all Oracle products.
