The experimental environment: win7,vmware12.x version, centos6.5/6.9
1. Mount the Vmwarea-tools disc (linux.so of the installation directory)
or direct virtual machine option, select Install Vm-tools
2.1 Mount the optical drive to the/mnt folder under Mount/dev/cdrom/mnt or/dev/sr0/mnt
3. Enter/mnt directory copy vmwaretools-10.1.6-5214329.tar.gz to any directory
4. Can eject the optical drive Umount/dev/cdrom
5. After decompression, perform vmware-install.pl installation may need to install Yum install Perl, the final installation may be error Unable to start services for VMware Tools,
Need to start the service manually
/etc/vmware-tools/services.sh start
May report blocking file system: [FAILED]
Need to install Yum install Fuse-libs
Reboot required after installation
6. Virtual machine settings-options, set up win shared folder
You can see your shared folder directory with the Vmware-hgfsclient command, which is generated after the Vmwaretools is successfully installed.
If no shared directory is found, perform the following
/usr/bin/vmhgfs-fuse. host://mnt/hgfs-o Subtype=vmhgfs-fuse,allow_other
