In the previous article we implemented the installation and use of the win7+centos6.3 dual system, but unfortunately in the CentOS6.4 version, the installation file size has exceeded the single file size 4G that the FAT file system can accommodate. We will not be able to continue using the FAT file system format partition to hold the CentOS installation files for installation.

This essay describes the use of tools in the Windows environment to create and write Ext3 file system format partition method, based on the ext3 file system, we can store CentOS6.4 installation files, so that the installation is successful.

In addition to the previous three software needs to be used, this article also uses a Windows environment to mount and read and write to the Ext file System Tools:

As a rule, we first download a few files and install them (the file part of the legend is the ZIP package, I have unzipped and removed the unnecessary parts, because I can see the partition number in the EXT2FSD, so we do not use wingrub, in fact, it was used by us to view the partition number is a bit overqualified ......) ：

After the installation is complete (EXT2FSD did not create a shortcut icon, I was mapped to the desktop in the folder):

Then using partition Assistant to separate the EXT3 format partition for the installation files, I separated the 20G:

　　

The remaining 100G I am going to use to install CentOS.

　　it must be seen here : the CentOS system installation only in the primary partition, if your remaining space is not in the primary partition is unable to install, you can try to create partitions, if there is no way to break into the primary partition (below is possible):

　　

If you find that you are not able to select the primary partition when you try to partition, then the number of your primary partition has been exhausted (not to see 4 primary partitions There are still places, the partition may be hidden, it seems to have nothing to do with erasing data ...), if you still want to install, convert a drive letter to a logical partition ( For example, I found out that the number of primary partitions is running out, I will convert D to logical partition, see):

Open the EXT2FSD and mount the EXT3 format partition you just allocated, but first we'll start by enabling EXT2FSD:
