As a surveying and mapping major undergraduate, I have studied autocad, cass, matlab, cosa and so on. Here is my view of some software.
CAD Pros and Cons:
1. Planar drawing: You can create basic graphic objects such as lines, circles, ellipses, torus polygons (positive polygons), splines, and so on in a variety of ways.
2. Drawing AIDS: Provides drawing aids such as orthogonal, object snapping, polar tracking, capture tracking, and more.
3. Edit Graphics: CAD has powerful editing functions that can be moved, copied, rotated, patterned, stretched, extended, trimmed, etc.
4. Writing text: You can easily in any position in the graphics, along any direction to write text, you can set the text font, tilt angle and width scaling and other properties.
5. Layer management function: graphic objects are located on a layer, you can set the object color, Linetype, line width and other characteristics.
Advantages and disadvantages of Cass software:
The southern Cass is a common mapping software, which is based on AutoCAD. Cass Terrain Map Software is a digital surveying and mapping data acquisition system based on AutoCAD platform technology. Widely used in the formation of maps, land by map, engineering surveying applications three areas, and comprehensive GIS, completely open up the digital mapping system and GIS interface, using skeleton line real-time editing, simple code user-oriented, GIS seamless interface and other advanced technology.
Advantages and disadvantages of MATLAB software:
1. High programming efficiency
Matlab language is a kind of high-level language for science and engineering computing, allowing to write programs in mathematical form, programming with MATLAB is like arranging formulas and solving problems on calculation paper. Because of its simple programming, programming efficiency is high, easy to learn and understand.
2. Efficient and convenient matrix and array operations
The Matlab language, like basic and C, specifies the arithmetic operators, the relational operators, the logical operators, the conditional operators, and the assignment operators of the Matrix, and most of these operators can be copied to the number-building operations without any change.
Advantages and disadvantages of Cosa software:
In addition to the functions of budget estimation, adjustment, accuracy evaluation and output, the COSA system also provides many useful functions, such as screen drawing, gross error culling, variance component estimation, the calculation of the influence value of through errors and the calculation of closing difference.
Through the study of these software, I learned a lot of knowledge, I believe that my future work will be a great help.
