1. Install texlive
1. Download The texlive2011 image file (. ISO)
2. Install the perl-TK package
Sudo apt-Get install Perl-TK
3. Mount the ISO file
Sudo Mount-o loop texlive2011.iso/mnt
4. Switch to the Mount directory and use the graphical interface to start installation.
CD/mnt
Sudo./install-Tl-Gui
Then select the installation directory in the graphic interface.
5. After installation is complete, the system prompts you to set environment variables.
Add/usr/local/texlive/2011/texmf/doc/man to manpath.
Add/usr/local/texlive/2011/texmf/doc/info to infopath.
Most importantly, add/usr/local/texlive/2011/bin/x86_64-linux
To your path for current and future sessions.
Edit/etc/bash. bashrc
Sudo Vim/etc/bash. bashrc
Add
Path =/usr/local/texlive/2011/bin/x86_64-linux: $ path; export path
Manpath =/usr/local/texlive/2011/texmf/doc/MAN: $ manpath; export manpath
Infopath =/usr/local/texlive/2011/texmf/doc/info: $ infopath; export infopath
6. Uninstall ISO
Sudo umount texlive2011.iso
7. Check whether the installation is complete.
Tex-version
Ii. Install Kile
Sudo apt-Get install Kile
TIPS: ensure the network is smooth. If some packages are not installed, update them first and reinstall sudo apt-Get update.
Go to Settings> Configure kill...> Tools> build and modify the corresponding path.
Note: If you want to view the produced PDF or DVI file, you can first install an okular
Sudo apt-Get install okular
