I was very satisfied with the answer. I think this is the reason why Community versions developed by fans without much capital and technology can continue to develop.

On the contrary, I also tried to install the latest version 5.0 of the Chinese Emy of sciences. Like ML, the test was successful under VMware. I climbed around and finally installed the official version of MagicLinux2.0 on my machine half a month ago. Because I downloaded an ISO image and didn't have a burner, I had to install it on a hard disk. My machine was in my house for 02 years, it is a little old, so the support for drivers for some old hardware is generally not a problem. Let's take a look at the two hard disk installation methods introduced on the Internet, the first installation I used was the simplest one I thought. I would like to introduce it to you later. Preparations:

XP is already installed on drive C on my machine and is retained. therefore, all partitions are FAT32, And the last disk partition is deleted with about 6 GB space (theoretically, Windows partitions are deleted under Windows ), I put my LINUX ISO file under the root partition of drive D, and then create a folder under drive D, such as Magic

1, therefore, you need to virtualize the downloaded ISO floppy disk IMG image file to guide installation.

2: kernel is a program that can boot Linux under DOS. mbboot is a floppy disk image guided from a floppy disk during installation. mbvmlinuz is a linux Kernel File and is required for loading!

3. Open vfloppy. Select the mbboot file under the created Magic folder from the image file path started by the virtual boot floppy disk. If you cannot see the image file, select show all files, some people on the Internet say that they want to add an img extension for mbboot. In fact, it is okay not to add it. Select a better application and it will take effect after it is restarted, you can see the words "started by virtual boot floppy disk" in the boot menu when the system is started.

4: restart your computer. After you start your computer, the installation program will be automatically loaded when you enter "started by virtual boot floppy disk", provided that your ISO is in the root directory of the FAT32 partition.

After the introduction and precautions before installation are completed, the installation process will be smooth in the future. In addition to the knowledge and basics of disk partitioning, no errors will occur.

Experience:

A very fast block, only one disc, but the built-in tools are very comprehensive! It may be very suitable for old machine friends, with friendly interfaces and good localization. however, MagicLinux is a form of community development without the company's capital and human support. Therefore, the number of people who help with hardware testing may be limited, therefore, the compatibility of the hardware may not be as good as that of the Chinese Red Flag, but it is recognized that Magiclinux is much more cost-effective than the problems that the Red Flag brings to users.
