Oracle error ORA-01461 Solution

An error message is received when lob with a size greater than 4 kb is inserted or updated on Oracle.

When you insert or update lob (blobs and clobs) larger than 4 K, you may receive exceptions similar to the following:

Java. SQL. sqlexception: ORA-01461: can bind a long value only for insert into a long column

Data size bigger than Max size for this type: XXXX. SQL state = <null>, error code = 17,070

This usually happens when you use the Oracle database and enable session persistence in WebSphere Application Server. Install WebSphere Application Server pq77056 to solve the problem of this session database.
