Oracle's reverse engineering refers to importing databases in Oracle, or, of course, databases in SQL Server into PD, which requires a link to a database and then reverse-engineered operations.
First step: Establish a link to the database:
PowerDesigner establishes a connection to the database to generate the database and generate it from the database into PD. [Oracle version 10G]
PowerDesigner establishes a connection to the database to generate the database and generate it from the database into PD. [SQL SERVER version 2005]
Step two: After establishing the database connection, in "File"--"Reverse Engineer"--"database"
Step three: Click OK,:
Fourth Step: Note that if there are many tables in the database, such as 10,000 tables, this operation takes a long time and even crashes the PD
By selecting the tables, views, and objects you want to import, you can import the database into PD, and the reverse engineering of the database ends.
