In jQuery: Examples of not selector usage, jquery Selector
This example describes the not selector usage in jQuery. Share it with you for your reference. The specific analysis is as follows:
This selector can remove elements that match the given selector in the element set.
Syntax structure:
Copy codeThe Code is as follows: $ (": not (selector )")
This selector should also be used with other selectors, such as class selector and element selector. For example:
Copy codeThe Code is as follows: $ ("li: not (. second)" ).css ("color", "green ")
The above Code sets the font color in the li element set with the class name not second to green.
If it is not used with other selectors, the default state is used with the * selector. For example, $ (": not") is equivalent to $ ("*: not ").

Instance 1:
Copy codeThe Code is as follows:
<! Doctype html>
<Html>
<Head>
<Meta charset = "UTF-8"/>
<Meta name = "author" content = "http://www.bkjia.com/"/>
<Title>: not selector-helping customers </title>
<Script type = "text/javascript" src = "mytest/jQuery/jquery-1.8.3.js"> </script>
<Script type = "text/javascript">
$ (Document). ready (function (){
$ ("Button"). click (function (){
$ ("Li: not (. second)" ).css ("color", "green ")
})
})
</Script>
</Head>
<Body>
<Div>
<Ul>
<Li class = "first"> html area </li>
<Li class = "second"> div + css area </li>
<Li class = "third"> jQuery area </li>
<Li class = "fourth"> Javascript area </li>
</Ul>
</Div>
<Div>
<P> welcome to the customer's home </p>
<Span class = "second"> the sun is shining </span>
</Div>
<Button> click to view results </button>
</Body>
</Html>
The preceding Code sets the font color of the li element whose class attribute value is not second to green in the li element set.
Example 2:
Copy codeThe Code is as follows:
<! Doctype html>
<Html>
<Head>
<Meta charset = "UTF-8"/>
<Meta name = "author" content = "http://www.bkjia.com/"/>
<Title>: not selector-helping customers </title>
<Script type = "text/javascript" src = "mytest/jQuery/jquery-1.8.3.js"> </script>
<Script type = "text/javascript">
$ (Document). ready (function (){
$ ("Button"). click (function (){
$ (": Not (. second)" ).css ("color", "green ")
})
})
</Script>
</Head>
<Body>
<Div>
<Ul>
<Li class = "first"> html area </li>
<Li class = "second"> div + css area </li>
<Li class = "third"> jQuery area </li>
<Li class = "fourth"> Javascript area </li>
</Ul>
</Div>
<Div>
<P> welcome to the customer's home </p>
<Span class = "second"> the sun is shining </span>
</Div>
<Button> click to view results </button>
</Body>
</Html>
Because the preceding Code does not specify a selector used in combination with the: not selector, it is used with the * selector by default. Because the color attribute is inherited, therefore, the text of all elements is set to green.
