After a Linux system is installed on the virtual machine. To build Hadoop clusters at high speed. There are a few more Linux systems to install, and a more stupid way to install them again with an iOS image file. But again the installation needs to configure some information again and the installation time is longer (generally in half an hour or so).

Therefore, it is recommended to use the VMware Special cloning feature to install the Linux system at high speed (cloning time is about 5 minutes).

Detailed procedures such as the following:

The first step:

Select the operating system that we need to clone, right-click the mouse, and select Manage-clone. For example, with:

Step two: Click "Next" directly, for example:

The third step: By default Select "Current status in the virtual machine", click "Next", for example:

Fourth step: Select "Create Full Clone", then click "Next". For example, with:

Fifth step: Set the name of the virtual machine, the location where the virtual machine files need to be placed, for example:

Sixth step: After you run the previous step, VMWare starts to run the clone, for example:

The seventh step: Clone complete, click "Close", can see generated a new operating system "tuz04".

The eighth step: the cloned operating system, its basic configuration information is completely consistent with the original, such as login name, password and so on.

For example, with:

PS: If the original operating system is manually configured by the fixed IP, then the clone IP will be the same as the same, so the cloning machine IP information needs to log in and configure again. Here is a demonstration of changing the login name to the clone machine's own information.

Configure the cloned operating system information once again, depending on the need to:

The first step: Change the username said. Two configuration files need to be changed /ETC/PASSWD  and &NBSP, /ETC/SHADOW  and a home Below the work home folder name-- /home tuz01  tuz04

This step requires you to log in to Linuxusing the root account( the root account password is the password of the native OS). Change the configuration file /etc/passwd , find the key line (the second line to the bottom). Change the username of the primitive to a new name, for example:

Change the configuration file/etc/shadow , locate the key row (the penultimate line), and change the name of the primitive to a new name, for example:

Step two: Change the username inside the group

Change the configuration file/etc/group . There are a lot of rows to change here. Change the user's name to the new name, for example:

The third step: Change the host name to the new host name (this step is optional, but the inside can again manually configure the IP address ) need to change the configuration files:/etc/hosts and /etc/hostname .

Fourth step: After all configuration configuration is complete, the restart takes effect.
