JPPF is an open-source grid computing framework that can run multiple java applications simultaneously in a distributed execution environment. The JPPF framework uses a resource adapter compatible with the JCA 1.5 specifications to integrate with the J2EE application server, which provides the server with access to the original grid service.
This is a maintenance update, mainly for fixing bugs.

Highlights of JPPF
Provides load balancing, failover, and error recovery services.
Provides a JMX-Based Management Console that can monitor nodes and manage executed tasks. You can remotely cancel or restart a task, or configure the end date or interval for timeout.
The JPPF framework uses a resource adapter compatible with the JCA 1.5 specifications to integrate with the J2EE application server, which provides the server with access to the original grid service. The adapter avoids the risk of JTA transaction timeout by committing asynchronous tasks.
JPPF supports the following application servers::
JBoss
Sun Application Server
Oracle Solaris
WebSphere
WebLogic
