JS Install JSP's operating environment
A lot of users want to learn JSP by JSP installation environment, I do not know what kind of software to run JSP, or know the required software name but in the process of installation is always a problem. I'm here to introduce a simple installation to run the JSP environment.
Operating system: Windows Pro
Installation software: j2sdk-1_4_1_02-windows-i586
Jakarta-tomcat-4.1.24-le-jdk14
Installation steps: First install jdk1.4. Run the j2sdk-1_4_1_02-windows-i586 directly, it's OK, this is an executable program, click to run directly on it. To avoid the file name being too long, we can install it by default to c:\jdk1.4. The Jdk1.4 version is much easier to install than previous versions, and does not require setting environment variables and paths.
After installing the jdk1.4, install tomcat4.1.
Also directly click Jakarta-tomcat-4.1.24-le-jdk14 to install tomcat4.1. Select the default path installation. During installation, you will be prompted to find c:\jdk1.4 as the compiler. If you are not prompted to locate the JDK then you may need to reinstall jdk1.4 or modify the environment variables. After the Tomcat installation is successful, click "Start", "program"
"Apache Tomcat 4.1" Click on the "Start Tomcat" icon. An MS-DOS window appears so that the Tomcat server is started.
To test the success of the Tomcat server: in the browser we type http://127.0.0.1:8080/carriage return. A welcome page for the Apache Tomcat server will appear. This means that your server has been installed successfully.
If the operation is unsuccessful, then we need to restart the computer and then reopen the service.
We write our JSP program, such as test.jsp file, to save this file in
C:\\apache Tomcat 4.1\\webapps\\root, then enter in the browser
http://127.0.0.1:8080/test.jsp, see if your page has been successfully compiled.
