Linux essential Software Installation (Sogou Input method, QQ, etc.)

If we have just installed the Ubuntu system, there are a lot of necessary software to install, here is a list:

This article back to follow up will always be updated, add new software installation method, please pay attention!

You need to open the terminal before installing

1. Update All software:

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get upgrade

2. Open System settings----> Language support----> update all documents required for Chinese

3. Open Software Center----> Search Flash----> Install Adobe Flash (only after Flash is installed can we view it properly on Youku)

4. The installation of Sogou input method

(1) If FCITX, libssh2-1, or their versions are not installed in the system, they need to be installed or upgraded in advance, or the input method will fail to install.

The installation commands are as follows:

sudo apt-get install FCITX libssh2-1

To check if the installation was successful, use the following command, if there are many things to print out, the installation is successful.

Dpkg-l|grep FCITX

Dpkg-l|grep Libssh

(2) because my system version is 64-bit, so I use the following command to download the installation package, if your system is 32-bit, please change the command 64 to 32.

sudo wget "http://pinyin.sogou.com/linux/download.php?f=linux&bit=64"-O "Sougou_64.deb"

(3) Execute the installation command.

sudo dpkg-i sougou_64.deb

(4) Open system settings----> Language support----> Keyboard input mode system----> select FCITX

(5) Restart the operating system to take effect

5. Install Instant Messenger software QQ International for Ubuntu

(1) Baidu search wine-qqintl.zip, file size of about 118M, found after downloading through the browser to the local;

(2) Double-click the wine-qqintl.zip package, Ubuntu will default to use the Archive Manager open, you will see three suffix. deb files, double-click the wine-qqintl_0.1.3-2_i386.deb file , the software center will automatically pop up and locate the QQ installation interface, click Install, complete without prompting, return to the installation interface;

(3) Open dash----> Search QQ, if the appearance of QQ International version, the installation success!
